Can Psilocybin Help Treat Mental Health?

Many of my clients are interested in using psychedelics as a way to heal deep rooted trauma. There is incredible research coming out from different institutions that have been allowed to use psilocybin for research purposes only. Before the pandemic, I had a chance to see Mathew Johnson, PhD from Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research speak locally on the research using psilocybin with depression, alcohol use disorder, smoking cessation, and anorexia nervosa. Dr. Yehuda has just now opened a research lab at Mt. Sinai and I am curious what will come out of their research.  This is very exciting since medication is not working for individuals with trauma. I have included some links below for your own search and to find out more.
